Considering the service i use allows throttling the connection from it to your web browser to late 90's/early 2000's dial-up speeds. I thought it would be nice to have a page demonstrating just what video was like in 'The Good Old Days.' This is slightly anacronystic since on my side, I'm not having to either upload a flash player with video controls and a specially converted file, or to call up some application. i can just tell the browser, 'Here this is a video, this is the width I want. Play It. If you can't play it I want you to display This message.' More likely than not you would get a link to download the video and play it in whatever media player you happened to have installed.
Think of this as kind of a shrine to the way things used to be. I don't have the space or patiance to make a long list of videos. As to why This particular video? It's actually because i happen to like it. It has no greater meaning or purpose in the grand scale. Just one of those 'Oh hey look at the silly thing' type of videos one might find.
